Robert A. Nelson, PE, PP, President (1972 - 2021)
Mr. Nelson studied engineering at the United States Naval Academy, Northwestern University Traffic Institute and Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. He held New Jersey Licenses of Professional Engineer and Professional Planner and his primary field of work was in traffic and transportation engineering.
From 1963 to 1965 Mr. Nelson served as assistant traffic engineer for the Garden State Parkway, and from 1965 to 1972 he was designated chief traffic engineer. He was also responsible for the final traffic design of the Garden State Arts Center (now known as the PNC Bank Arts Center), which opened in the summer of 1968, and for traffic operations and access to the Center until he left in December 1972.
He was a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), membership grade of Fellow, and was affiliated with the New York Met Section of the Institute. He was also a member of the Urban Land Institute.

John A. Buletza, PE, PP, CME‚ Vice-President of Engineering
Mr. Buletza is our Vice-President and Director of Engineering. He is our chief design engineer.
John is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. He brings over 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction fields to your project. He is a licensed professional engineer, a licensed professional planner, and a certified municipal engineer in the state of New Jersey.
His comprehensive experience encompasses many phases of a project, including planning, design, specifications and contract administration. John is NJDEP certified for underground heating oil tank testing, installation, subsurface evaluation, cathodic protection and closure. He regularly testifies before Municipal Planning and Zoning Boards as an expert witness in the field of engineering.

David H. Boesch, LLA, Executive Vice-President
Mr. Boesch graduated, with honors, from Cook
College, Rutgers University. He is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of New
Jersey since 1987 and a Registered Landscape Architect in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1989. He is a member of Sigma Lambda Alpha, the
honorary fraternity for excellence in Landscape Architecture.
Mr. Boesch joined the firm in 1984 and is presently the Executive Vice
President. He has served as project manager for a variety of
residential, commercial, and industrial development applications.

Matthew R. DuBois, PE
Mr. DuBois joined Nelson Engineering Associates, Inc. in 2004 after graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering. He is our chief hydrologic engineer. His experience entails onsite soil sampling and classification, laboratory analysis of disturbed soil samples, hydraulic and hydrologic design of stormwater management systems, and traffic circulation and capacity analyses.
